Frustration mounts amoung Citizens

Living in the High-Country is a lifestyle choice and well worth the challenges it can bring. One challenge that local citizens should not have are delays in a emergency response. The Town of Winter Park board needs to help address this issue and not continue to ignore it:

Dear Board,

I want to make you aware that around noon on Saturday the train stopped and closed both crossing again.  This is the 2nd time in the last 6 weeks or so that this has happened to me.  I have no idea how many times this happens but if it happened to me twice, I’m sure it happens much more that.

This is a health safety issue that needs to be addressed.  If someone needs and ambulance when this happens it could be disastrous for the family and the town.  Even worse is a wildfire and residents can’t get out.

The town has been messing with this issue for 10 years or more.  It is time for Winter Park, Cornerstone, and Fraser to have a meeting of the minds and resolve this conflict.
